Information Collection and Use

To provide and improve our services, we may collect certain information about how you interact with the App or Website. Most personal data, such as photos, remains on your device and is not collected by us unless specifically submitted for processing or support purposes. We also use trusted third-party service providers to deliver essential app functionality and analytics. These partners may process limited technical or transactional information to perform their services. They are contractually obligated not to use or share data for any other purpose. These include:

• Firebase (by Google) – core infrastructure, authentication, database, and analytics.
• OneSignal – delivery of push notifications.
• RevenueCat – management of in-app purchases and subscriptions.
• Amplitude – anonymous analytics on feature usage and user behavior.

Log Data

In the event of an error or crash, diagnostic information (“Log Data”) may be collected automatically by third-party services. This may include your device’s IP address, device model, operating system version, app configuration, time and date of use, and related statistics necessary to resolve issues and improve performance.

Usage Analytics

We use Amplitude to analyze app interactions and usage trends. This data is anonymized and helps us understand which features are most useful, how users navigate the App, and how we can improve the experience. Collected data may include anonymous user identifiers, device type, in-app actions, and session durations.

Push Notifications

We use OneSignal to send push notifications about updates, new features, or important account-related messages. OneSignal assigns a unique, anonymous device identifier to enable these messages. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device’s system settings.

In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat securely processes data related to your transactions (excluding payment card details) to confirm purchase status and unlock premium content. All payment processing is handled directly by the App Store or Google Play under their respective privacy policies.

Photo-Related Data

Photo processing occurs online to enable features such as restoration, enhancement, or colorization. After processing, results are downloaded to your device, and all uploaded photos are permanently deleted from our servers. You may manually delete your upload history at any time via the “History” section within the App.

Face Data

Certain features, such as “Combine”, use face detection technology to align and blend multiple photos. Your image is securely uploaded to our servers, where facial key points are detected only to generate the requested output. We do not store, collect, or share facial data, and we do not perform face recognition. All temporary data is automatically deleted after processing.

AI Image Processing and Open-Source Models

Renew uses open-source generative AI models to enable photo restoration and enhancement. Our backend infrastructure may use models such as: • Stable Diffusion (licensed under the CreativeML Open RAIL-M License) • ComfyUI (licensed under the MIT License) These models generate new and unique results based solely on user input. We do not use or distribute any pretrained models containing third-party proprietary content or copyrighted material.

Cookies and Device Identifiers

The App and Website may include third-party code or libraries that use cookies or similar technologies (such as device identifiers) to improve service performance. You can control or disable cookies and identifiers through your browser or device settings. Please note that doing so may limit access to certain features.

Service Providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to: • Facilitate our services • Perform service-related functions • Provide analytics or maintenance support • Assist in understanding how the App and Website are used These providers may access your data only as needed to perform their tasks and are prohibited from using it for other purposes.
